The Vemana IT, a premier institute was established under aegis of KRJS during the year 1999 in the heart of the Bengaluru city having vast land area of about 5 acres. Vemana IT has started with 3 Under Graduate (UG) courses of 180 intake and progressively grown up to 5 UG courses with 600 intake, 3 Post Graduate courses and 5 VTU approved Research centers. The institute is named after “Dharshanika Mahayogi Vemana” a saint of tall order and a social reformer who reached to the common people with his simple and straight forward Vemana Padyas’ they serve as the medicine for worldly ailments. He is our guiding spirit. Vemana IT is recognized by Govt. of Karnataka, approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and affiliated to VTU, Belagavi, Karnataka.

ADMISSION UNDER MANAGEMENT QUOTA FOR B.E PROGRAM
Admission to first year B.E. course in Vemana Institute of Technology is available for candidates through CET/COMED-K and Management Quota as per the norms specified by Government of Karnataka and VTU from time to time. Admission to First Year Admission to the first year shall be open for the candidates who: Have passed the Second year Pre-University Examination conducted by the Karnataka State Pre-University Board with Science Subjects. 10 + 2 of the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) / ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education) Any other equivalent examination recognized by the University. Eligibility The candidate should have secured an aggregate of 45% with Physics & Mathematics as a Parth of the subjects, along with one of the following subjects:- Chemistry Biotechnology Computer Science Biology & Electronics Eligibility criteria for candidates belonging to SC/ST and OBC are 40% in optional subjects. The candidate must have had appeared and cleared English as one of the subjects. Admission to Second Year (Lateral Entry) Diploma or equivalent degree holders can apply for admission in the second year provided that they must have secured 50% in their final year examination. For SC/ST and OBC, the criteria are 45%, in case the candidate has secured less than the eligibility, must clear the bridge courses as specified by the Bangalore University.
